Among the masterpieces on offer this season, whose over-arching theme is \u201cExpanding harmony\u201d, are Mahler\u2019s monumental Fifth Symphony, Beethoven\u2019s \u2018Emperor\u2019 Piano Concerto, Brahms\u2019s Double Concerto, and, in the realm of choral music, the Faur\u00e9 Requiem.<\/p>\n<p>This season, the podium will be taken by such eminent conductors as Laurence Equilbey, Ton Koopman and Carlos Miguel Prieto, as well as our own Chief Conductor and Artistic Director Tom\u00e0s Grau. At the helm of the Franz Schubert Filharmonia, they\u2019ll bring us the very best in symphonic music.<\/p>\n<p>Two exceptional soloists will make their debuts with us \u2013 Maxim Vengerov and Daishin Kashimoto \u2013 , and we\u2019re delighted to welcome back such popular previous guest artists as soprano N\u00faria Rial, violinist Alexandra Soumm, and Vlad Staculeasa, who will lead the wonderful Mendelssohn\u2019s Octet.<\/p>\n<p>Our 2024-25 season will celebrate the principles of excellence that have guided the orchestra since its foundation, as we continue looking to the future and sharing the love for music with everyone who comes to hear us play.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to the 12th season of the Franz Schubert Filharmonia at the Teatre Tarragona.
