{"id":10723,"date":"2024-10-03T10:47:56","date_gmt":"2024-10-03T10:47:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/franzschubertfilh.com\/notes-del-concert-estrena-i-entusiasme-amb-la-cinquena-de-mahler\/"},"modified":"2025-03-23T19:52:09","modified_gmt":"2025-03-23T19:52:09","slug":"notes-del-concert-estrena-i-entusiasme-amb-la-cinquena-de-mahler","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/franzschubertfilh.com\/en\/notes-del-concert-estrena-i-entusiasme-amb-la-cinquena-de-mahler\/","title":{"rendered":"Premiere and enthusiasm with Mahler&#8217;s Fifth Symphony"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>First of all, we want to thank everyone who accompanied us to the opening of the<strong> 13th Season of the Franz Schubert Filharmonia at the Palau de la M\u00fasica Catalana<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It was a very special night that began with the absolute premiere of <strong>Albert Guinovart<\/strong>&#8216;s &#8216;<i>Marta of the Lowlands Suite&#8217; Suite<\/i>, a piece that condenses a fascinating play of colors and which has been expressly commissioned by our orchestra to commemorate the centenary of the death of <strong>\u00c0ngel Guimer\u00e0<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Next, the performance of <strong>Mahler&#8217;s<\/strong><i><strong> Fifth Symphony<\/strong><\/i>\u00a0immersed us in a captivating emotional journey. <strong>Tom\u00e0s Grau<\/strong> did a deep reading of this monumental work, extracting all its expressive power from the beautiful melodic motifs as well as the rhythmic games inserted in the score.<\/p>\n<p>The funeral march in the first movement impressed with its solemnity, while the emotional intensity of the second movement was overwhelming.
