PARIS DOES NOT UNDERSTAND MOZART<\/strong><\/p>\n In September 1777, 21-year-old Mozart left for Paris with the intention of finding a good job. He arrived in the French capital six months later with energy to tour the city, make contacts and play at private concerts.<\/p>\n Through an old friend, Mozart met the Duke of Gu\u00eenes, who commissioned him to write the Concerto for Flute and Harp. (The duke was a flutist, his daughter an harpist.). Mozart poured all his compositional genius into the concert, writing a delicate work, with wonderful melodies that have turned it into a work much loved by the public.<\/p>\n Unfortunately, Mozart received only a token gift for his work and pats on the back. Paris did not understand the genius of Salzburg and Mozart left the city.<\/p>\n VIENNA LOVES BEETHOVEN<\/strong><\/p>\n Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony is a testament to the resilience of the composer from Bonn.<\/p>\n In the midst of personal challenges, marked by a growing deafness and the collapse of a passionate love story, and historical Napoleon once again brandishing his army across Europe, Beethoven knew how to focus his internal struggles by creating one of his more dramatic and exciting works; the Seventh Symphony.<\/p>\n The premiere in Vienna on December 8, 1813, conducted by Beethoven himself with fervor and physical exuberance, was a great success. The audience even demanded a repeat of the second movement.
