Christoph Eschenbach<\/strong> (Wroclaw, 1940) was a war orphan and raised by a cousin of his mother, the pianist Wallydore Eschenbach. Following his piano and conducting studies, Eschenbach won prestigious piano awards that helped establish his international fame<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Finally, supported by Herbert von Karajan<\/strong>, Eschenbach focused more on orchestral conducting, becoming the absolute reference of the great Germanic tradition of conductors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Christoph Eschenbach has been Principal Director Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra from 1982 to 1986 He has recently been appointed Artistic Director of the Wroclaw Philharmonic, FNM<\/p>\n As guest director, Eschenbach Vienna Philharmonic Christoph Eschenbach is a Member of the Legion of Honor and Knight of Arts and Letters of France<\/strong>; recipient of the German Federal Cross of Merit and has been awarded the Leonard Bernstein Award<\/strong>.<\/p>\n CONCERT DATES<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
