The invisible thread with Beethoven’s Ninth

Last Tuesday we experienced a night that we will remember for many years. A night of full communion between our orchestra and the audience that filled the Palau de la Música Catalana to overflowing. The spirit of Beethoven flew over a concert where we celebrated the premiere of the 200th anniversary of the symphony which, perhaps, most deeply challenges the human soul, our desires, our hopes and calls us to live in brotherhood.

Certainly, it seemed as if an invisible thread, made of music and emotions, united the musicians of the Franz Schubert Filharmonia, the voices of the Madrigal Choir, the soloists and the gifted baton of maestro Tomàs Grau with the audience that filled the room. For a moment, the world stopped and the music made us freer; happier.

On behalf of all the people who are part of the Franz Schubert Filharmonia, we want to thank you for joining us in this concert and, of course; Thank you, Beethoven!
