The Franz Schubert Filharmonia Foundation works to bring classical music closer to everyone, promoting educational, social and cultural projects. With initiatives that promote young talent, inclusion and equal opportunities, the Foundation reinforces the orchestra’s commitment to society. Find out how you can be part of this project and help us to make music more accessible and transformative.
OUR PURPOSE
Culture is a universal right to which it is necessary to guarantee access without exception. Support for culture is a sign of an advanced society.
An inclusive and participatory culture is a driving force for change and individual and social progress. Music is a powerful tool for social transformation and enrichment of people’s lives.
OUR VALUES
We believe in creativity, excellence and innovation. We pursue equality and inclusion in the social policies of our foundation.
We believe in generating long-term bonds with all those who form part of our project. We are defined by affection and commitment in the relationships we establish.
OUR VISION
Our aim is to become a relevant formation in the cultural and social panorama of the country.
Through our Foundation we are implementing programmes of social impact on issues related to diversity, inclusion, dissemination and gender equality and opportunities.
You can help our foundation to implement programmes of parity, equality and social inclusion through music, as well as the creation of programmes to spread classical music among young audiences, and also help the Franz Schubert Filharmonia to become an orchestra of national and international renown.
We stand for equality between men and women. That is why we always seek parity and give equal opportunities to musicians and artists of both genders.
We firmly believe that economic capacity should not be an obstacle to access to culture. For this reason, in each of our concerts we make tickets available to people with limited resources at a very reduced price.
GENDER
The composition of our orchestra is currently made up of 43% women and 57% men, both with the same salary and contractual conditions. And we are still working to reach 50/50.
RESOURCES
We promote accessibility for users of social entities in our programming with tickets at subsidised prices for all our concerts. An extraordinary cultural offer aimed at centres, social services and organisations that work with people and groups in vulnerable situations.
AN ORCHESTRA MORNING
This activity is designed for people with intellectual disabilities, Alzheimer’s or living with mental health disorders.
The experience includes a meeting with musicians from the orchestra, attendance at a rehearsal without an audience and a participatory music therapy workshop. A space for inclusion in which music becomes a tool for connection and emotion.
SOCIAL BOX
We bring symphonic music to vulnerable groups by inviting them to orchestra concerts, because everyone has the right to be emotionally moved.
The Franz Schubert Filharmonia reserves a box at the Palau de la Música Catalana during the orchestra’s season exclusively for vulnerable groups, so they can enjoy music as a transformative experience. The invited organisations work with vulnerable groups linked to young talent, gender equality and equal opportunities, to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy music.
RHYTHMS IN COMPANY
We bring music to people who are hospitalised or undergoing outpatient treatment for a mental health disorder.
With this activity, people affected by this type of disorder participate actively and benefit from the power of music, through the search for new sensations and emotions, thanks to the experience of listening in first person to the orchestra and its instruments, which benefits the therapeutic load of a normalised social interaction.
FOR YOUNG AUDIENCES
Since our beginnings, we have always promoted access to our concerts for young audiences through the forthcoming dissemination of classical music and a specific programme for the under 30s.
SUBSIDISED TICKETS
Thanks to Escena 25 and Apropa Cultura, we offer reduced-price tickets for young people under 25 and special rates for vulnerable groups for our concerts at the Palau de la Música Catalana, Teatre Tarragona, Auditori Enric Granados in Lleida and Auditori Josep Carreras in Vila-seca.
SPECIAL SEASON SUBSCRIPTIONS
We offer season subscriptions with a 50% discount for those under 35 years of age.
