The Franz Schubert Filharmonia closed the 2024-25 Season with vibrant and engaging concerts, under the baton of charismatic conductor Carlos Miguel Prieto.
With contagious energy and a magnetic presence, Prieto connected deeply with the orchestra, offering evenings that celebrated music as a universal language of unity and brotherhood.
Pianist Olga Kern performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 with overwhelming virtuosity, capturing both the heroic grandeur and poetic delicacy of the work, always with a balanced, intense and moving dialogue with the orchestra.
In the second part, Ginastera's demanding Variaciones Concertantes revealed the expressive richness of the orchestra and its soloists, while Arturo Márquez's Danzón No. 2 exploded with rhythm and color, ending with overflowing joy.
