Intensity and Beauty with Paul Huang and Tomàs Grau

The emotions from the three inaugural concerts of the Franz Schubert Filharmonia season still resonate. Thank you for sharing with us such a special evening, full of intensity and beauty.

It was a privilege to experience the exquisite expressiveness of Paul Huang in Korngold’s Violin Concerto — a performance that will remain in our memory as one of the most brilliant and soulful we have ever heard. His sensitivity and crystalline high notes, combined with the orchestra’s energy and rapport, made every note and every phrase vibrate and speak.

In the second part, maestro Tomàs Grau, with Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6, stopped time itself, unfolding a richness of textures and emotions of moving depth. Grau and the orchestra’s musicians traced a vital, sincere, and stirring journey through one of the most wonderful symphonies in history.

An evening that reminds us why we love music, and how, when shared live, it becomes an unforgettable experience.
