Avi Avital Vivaldi is the title of the record published by Deutsche Grammophon to the musician and collaborator of great artists such as tenor Juan Diego Flórez (with whom he has already performed in several of the most important stages of the world) or the Venice Baroque Orchestra. Avi Avital, born in southern Israel in 1978, was the first mandolinist to receive a GRAMMY nomination in the category of Best Instrumental Soloist. Recognized by The New York Times as an interpreter ‘of impressive agility, able to play in an extremely sensitive way’, his is an example of commitment to an instrument that is often relegated to the role of companion. But in this 100% Vivaldian programme he is presented as markedly soloist.
As a counterpoint to the figure of Avital, Camera Musicae this time entrusted the leadership to his concertino Joel Bardolet, a violinist born in Vic in 1987, who brings together, with his activity as soloist and collaborator with other European orchestras, an unusual experience and confidence in a musician of his age. His musical vision, between imaginative and extrovert but always faithful to the objective of bringing the fullness of the music to the listener, will round off a monographic evening centered on the Venetian musician.
