The opening of FIOM 2018, on Saturday, June 16, has a very important symphonic-chorale character, with two prominent names from the musical and aesthetic scene: W. A. Mozart and F. Poulenc.
The titular organist of the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, Juan de la Rubia, will offer his particular version of the Poulenc concert for organ, string and timbales.
Then, we will listen to the version that the heart of Cor de Cambra Francesc Valls will offer, along with vocal soloists and the Orquestra Simfònica Camera Musicae, of the Vesperae solennes de Confesore KV 339, alternated with the delicate and little known Sonate da Chiesa, from the great WA Mozart, below the direction of the maestro Salvador Mas, who already directed the inaugural concert of the organ of Montserrat.
