Daniel Lozakovich

Violin

Daniel Lozakovich has established himself as one of the outstanding violinists of his generation. Born in Stockholm in 2001, he began playing the violin at the age of seven and just two years later made his solo debut with the Moscow Virtuosi under Vladimir Spivakov.

His international breakthrough came in 2016 when he won the Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition. That same year, aged just fifteen, he signed an exclusive contract with Deutsche Grammophon, becoming the label’s youngest artist at the time.

Since then, he has performed with ensembles including the BBC Symphony Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, working with conductors such as Semyon Bychkov, Andris Nelsons, Klaus Mäkelä, Vasily Petrenko and Leonard Slatkin.

His discography includes recordings devoted to Bach, Tchaikovsky and Beethoven. In 2024, he began a new recording chapter with Warner Classics. Lozakovich has also been one of the distinguished soloists invited to perform with the Franz Schubert Filharmonia.
