InClassica International Music Festival 2025 at Dubai Opera

The Franz Schubert Filharmonia is participating in the prestigious InClassica International Music Festival 2025 in Dubai, which brings together world-renowned musicians in a setting of the highest musical and cultural excellence. The festival is renowned for its focus on classical and contemporary repertoire, providing a unique platform for high-quality orchestral music in an international context.

The repertoire of the Franz Schubert Filharmonia for its six performances at the Festival includes masterpieces from the classical canon as well as contemporary compositions, among which stand out, on the one hand, Symphonies by Tchaikovsky, Beethoven and Mozart, recognized for their depth and emotional richness, and on the other, the Violin and Cello Concertos by Alexey Shor, the festival’s resident composer, which bring a fresh and modern perspective to the program. This selection seeks to offer the audience a complete musical experience, encompassing everything from the most famous classics to innovative current pieces, uniting tradition and modernity on the same stage.

The Franz Schubert Filharmonia will perform under the batons of renowned conductors such as Sergey Smbatyan, Lionel Bringuier and Mikhail Pletnev, with whom they will debut for the first time and also under the direction of Tomàs Grau, the ensemble's principal conductor. As for the performers, there will be debuts with violinist Daniel Lozakovich and cellist Edgar Moreau and, on the other hand, reunions with performers already known to the orchestra such as Maxim Vengerov - with whom they have already worked together at the start of the 2024-25 Season - and Gil Shaham, with whom the orchestra is currently recording an album that includes works by Alexey Shor, resident composer of the InClassica Festival.
