The Franz Schubert Filharmonia participates in the Christmas Gala of Operación Triunfo 2023 on Prime Video

THE CHRISTMAS GALA OF OPERACIÓN TRIUNFO 2023
ON PRIME VIDEO

The Franz Schubert Filharmonia will be the symphony orchestra that will accompany the contestants of Operación Triunfo 2023 in the Christmas Special Gala that will be available on 25 December 2023 on demand exclusively on Prime Video in Spain and Latin America.

The orchestra, under the baton of our chief conductor, maestro Tomàs Grau, will perform live, from the set of Operación Triunfo, the orchestral versions of the 10 songs chosen by the programme to celebrate these special dates with the audience, including: Navidad, Navidad (Jingle Bells), Most wonderful time of the year (Andy Williams, 1963), Bendita tu luz (Maná and Juan Luis Guerra, 2006), Farolito (Gloria Estefan, 1995), Santa's coming for us (Sia, 2017), Te regalo (Carla Morrison, 2017), Rockin' around the christmas tree (Brenda Lee, 1958), Last Christmas (Wham!, 1984), High (Lighthouse family, 1997) and Happy Christmas, War is over (John Lennon, 1971).

The performances can be enjoyed in the voices of the 16 contestants who have entered the Academy in this edition and with the participation of the teachers and presenters of the programme in the group themes.

The Franz Schubert Filharmonia is thrilled to be able to participate in an event like this, as we firmly believe that symphonic music should be able to reach everyone, in several formats and beyond the concert halls. With the aim of supporting young talent and the intention of always bringing symphonic music to new audiences and through new channels, we are participating in this Special Christmas Gala of Operación Triunfo with a symphonic twist in a shared way of understanding music from closeness and celebration.
