The Franz Schubert Filharmonia presents its 15th Season at the Palau de la Música Catalana, an artistic proposal that reaffirms its identity and mission: to offer musical experiences capable of transforming audiences through the power of symphonic music, while consolidating the project led by its Founder and Music Director, Tomàs Grau.

The programme will feature the return of artists much loved by audiences such as Yulianna Avdeeva, Judith Jáuregui, Anna Fedorova, Clara-Jumi Kang and Nadège Rochat, as well as the duo formed by Mark Padmore and Paul Lewis, who will perform Schubert’s Winterreise on the occasion of its 200th anniversary.

The Season will also include significant debuts, such as those of horn player Stefan Dohr, principal of the Berlin Philharmonic, and pianist Maxim Lando, prizewinner at the Cleveland International Piano Competition, alongside the presence of distinguished conductors such as Gabriel Bebeșelea, Chloé Van Soeterstède, Sunwook Kim and Guillermo García Calvo.

The great symphonic repertoire will take centre stage with iconic works such as Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 “From the New World”, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 “Eroica”, and Mozart’s Requiem, all of which are set to move audiences once again.

The Season will also feature extraordinary concerts such as El Pessebre by Pau Casals, marking the 150th anniversary of his birth, and a proposal designed for all audiences: the 50th Anniversary of Star Wars, with the music of John Williams in a symphonic version.

Since its foundation, the Franz Schubert Filharmonia has worked to offer high-quality musical experiences, support local musicians, and bring music closer to all audiences. This Season is built around an idea that guides the orchestra’s project: the certainty that music transforms us.
