We are pleased to present the new Symphonic Season of the Franz Schubert Filharmonia in Tarragona. A season that, thanks to the support of institutions and collaborators and the passion of our audience, has turned Tarragona into one of the main musical capitals in Europe. A Season at the service of the great musical repertoire with composers such as Beethoven, Stravinsky, Mozart, Rakhmàninov, Casals or Tchaikovsky and which will bring, for the first time in Tarragona, key figures from the international scene such as the great master Christoph Eschenbach, conducting the Seventh Symphony by Beethoven and new talents such as pianist Dmitry Ishkhanov in a high-impact recital.
We will also experience the debut of artists such as the pianist Anna Fedorova performing the Concert no. 3 by Rakhmàninov, the guitarist Miloš Karadaglić with the Aranjuez Concerto or the Ludwig Trio with Beethoven’s Triple; we will be reunited with violinist Sayaka Shoji leading Max Richter’s Four Seasons and enjoy great film music with the concert dedicated to John Williams and the Star Wars BSOs.
Tomàs Grau, principal and artistic director of the Franz Schubert Filharmonia, will lead programs such as the Rite of Spring or the New World Symphony and with him we will commemorate the two hundredth anniversary of the premiere of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony together with the Choir Madrigal.
We invite you to join us in this Symphonic Season in Tarragona and that together we share the music beyond the pentagram, giving birth to the emotion that exists between the lines.
