Shared music with Oriana Kemelmajer Alias and Tomàs Grau

The Franz Schubert Filharmonia season came to a close with an evening that perfectly captured the spirit of this very special year marking our 20th anniversary: music shared with sensitivity, excellence, and enthusiasm.

Under the baton of Tomàs Grau, Haydn’s Le matin and Le soir symphonies revealed all their freshness and expressive richness. With careful attention to the score’s colours and shifting characters, Grau led an orchestra that stood out for its clarity of phrasing, flexibility, and natural sound.

At the heart of the programme, Oriana Kemelmajer Alías demonstrated why she is considered one of the most promising emerging artists on today’s musical scene. Her performance of Bach’s Concerto in D minor combined virtuosity, sensitivity, and a remarkable rapport with the orchestra.

We bring to a close a season in which we have celebrated 20 years of sharing the stage with extraordinary artists and performing great masterpieces of the repertoire. Thank you for your trust and support!

We look forward to seeing you again next season, with more music and new emotions to share!
