It is rare for an artist to match so perfectly with the spirit of the group she collaborates with: Orchestra Camera Musicae is extremely pleased for having the young violinist Alexandra Soumm, considered by the French press as the most international artist of her generation. However, Soumm is much more that an outstanding interpreter, her social commitment has brought her to collaborate extensively with two exceptional projects: in 2012 she founded the NGO Esperanz’Arts to empower persons on the verge of social exclusion through the art, and her remarkable roll as a sponsor by The System (Abreu) in France.

We can listen to her as a soloist interpreting the magnificent Tchaikovsky; The program will conclude with the Symphony n.5 in Mi minor by the same composer. The always striking Tchaikovsky is a great choice when bringing classical music to the cinema (the concert itself is part of the soundtrack of the film The Concert, by Radu Mihaileanu).
