Guillermo García Calvo takes the podium of the Franz Schubert Filharmonia for what will be his third collaboration with the orchestra. It is a much-anticipated return for a programme featuring one of the great pillars of the symphonic-choral repertoire: Mozart’s Requiem. The concert will open with Shostakovich’s deeply moving Chamber Symphony, setting the emotional tone for the evening.
