The Franz Schubert Filharmonia presents the 2021-22 Symphony Season, its 9th concert season at the Teatre Tarragona. A season of artistic reaffirmation in the founding values of the orchestra that will once again place the city of Tarragona as one of the great capitals in the classical music circuit in Europe.
A season where we maintain and strengthen the close relationship and link with artists who have already collaborated with the Franz Schubert Philharmonic such as Alexandra Soumm, Patricia Kopatchinskaja and Rinaldo Alessandrini. This close and direct relationship with these artists allows the orchestra to work and personally prepare the programs with them, choosing and thinking about the works that best suit the orchestra and our audience.
In addition, the formation maintains its commitment to continue collaborating and bringing great national and international figures to our home. So this season we invite for the first time artists like Javier Perianes, Alexei Volodin, Liza Ferschtman and Pablo González.
Among the programs articulated by the titular and artistic director of the Franz Schubert Philharmonic, Thomas Grau, are some of the most essential works in the repertoire such as Mendelssohn’s Italian, Tchaikovsky’s Fifth and Rachmaninoff’s Second Symphony, among others.
Individual tickets for this season will cost 25 and 35€ depending on the concert, and will go on sale on Wednesday 3 November.
