Yulianna Avdeeva returns to our season following the resounding success of her recent debut last season. Acclaimed by audiences and admired for her poetic authority at the keyboard, Avdeeva will bring her lyricism and energy to Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1. Gabriel Bebeșelea, a conductor of international standing and refined musical intelligence, will lead two of Strauss’s most inspired symphonic poems, both of which the composer himself conducted at the Palau de la Música Catalana in 1925.
